Our
Team
Our compassionate staff of professionals
and our dedicated volunteers give of themselves through
their own experiences of loss to support and care for
the patient and their family as if they were members
of the family.
Our care is designed to complement the care a patient
is currently receiving. Working closely with a patient's
physician, our patients are cared for by specially trained,
compassionate professionals:
• Registered Nurses
• Nursing Assistants
• Social Workers
• Spiritual Care Coordinators
• Bereavement Counselors
• Patient Care Volunteers
• Dietary and Pharmacy Consultants
• Specialized Therapies When Appropriate
• On-Call RN Available 24 Hours a Day, 7 Days
a Week
• Nurse Educators
Volunteers
Life Choice Hospice volunteers are an integral part
of our hospice team and play a crucial role in the way
we deliver care. We consider them an invaluable part
of the care that we provide. During the time that they
care for a family, they become a part of that family.
Making a Difference
Our volunteers are loyal, sensitive and dedicated individuals
who selflessly give of themselves to ensure hospice
care is provided with thought and compassion. Each hospice
volunteer has a profound impact on the lives of our
patients and their families. Every one of them has experienced
the rewards of truly making a difference.
Training
All Life Choice volunteers receive extensive training
to learn our philosophy and our approach to care. Volunteers
come to understand their responsibilities and duties
of caring for patients and their families while handling
the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of death
and dying.
