"Our Boston-area team created a 'Bon Vivant French Day' for their 90-year-old French patient, a former ballerina and choreographer. Pastries from an authentic French patisserie were served with fresh raspberries and cream, and champagne was poured as a CD player provided the sounds of France's National Anthem, La Marseillaise, sung by the famous performer Edith Piaf. With her two best friends at the party, the patient reminisced about days-gone-by as she looked at photos of her beloved France. She also delighted in a French newspaper and a French magazine the Boston team brought to her. As a reminder of that day, a framed picture of the Seine River now hangs on her wall."
