Lobsterfest

"When our hospice staff brought steamed lobsters, corn on the cob and a vase of black-eyed Susan's to Mrs. D., it was difficult to tell who enjoyed the afternoon luncheon the most - the staff or the patient. As the sounds of seagulls and ocean waves emanated from a staff member's laptop computer, Mrs. D. sat beneath a patio umbrella wearing a flower-covered straw hat - making her look like Miss Daisy herself. The hospice staff prepared her usual cranberry juice in a flamingo-covered cocktail shaker and served it in a matching cocktail glass to add a fancy tropical flare to the meal. As word of the lobster luncheon quickly spread throughout the facility, office staff, kitchen workers, nurses, aides and housekeepers stopped-by to join in the fun. The event was a pick-me-up for everyone."
